There are a variety of fly fishing options available to guests in Park City. There are Wade Trips, which is a classic fishing experience along the banks of a local river. Stop along the way to learn about anything that catches your eye, while your guide offers instruction and assistance. This option is available for either a half day or full day, so whatever your needs are there is something for everyone.

Float Trips are another option, which involves fishing from a drift boat. This allows you to explore many remote areas of the river that are otherwise not accessible by foot. These trips take place on the Upper Section of the Green River. Available only as a full day option, these trips do require some travel.

If you are looking for something a bit more exclusive, then try out Private Waters. This secures a section of the river all to yourselves, away from the crowds and people. These trips are available for half day or full day options, but due to their exclusivity, it’s best to book in advance to ensure your date and time can be secured. Also, there are certain times during the fishing season where this option may not be available so it’s always best to check before you go.

Fly fishing takes place along three different sections of the Provo River. The Weber River is medium-sized and close to Park City. The other section is the Upper Green River which is located in Wyoming, which is why we mentioned above that traveling is required. It is about a 2 hour drive from Park City, and this section of the river is known to offer more advanced fishing opportunities.

Here are a few things to know before you go: A Utah fishing license is required. You must bring this with you prior to your trip. Other items you will want to bring are weather appropriate clothing, sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat. For more information and rates, be sure to visit their website.
