The road is paved and runs through Deer Valley Resort, alpine meadows, and to the summit of Guardsman Pass. There is short-term parking at the summit so visitors can stretch their legs and take in the amazing views of Park City! The drive time for this route is 30 minutes to an hour out and back.

Guardsman Pass Aspens in Fall, Utah

Mirror Lake Scenic Byway is one of the more popular routes, it cuts through Utah’s highest mountain range. You will go up through Uinta-Wasatch Cache National Forest before descending to placid Mirror Lake. Along this drive you can expect to find many small lakes, waterfalls, hiking trails, and camping sites. The drive time for this route is 1.5 to 3 hours long.

Weber Canyon is a mellow drive full of amazing views! You can find tons of aspen groves along this route that are bright green in the summer and yellow in the fall. The drive time for this route is 1.5 to 2 hours long.

Echo Canyon I-84 is a route that goes from Park City through Echo Canyon State Park to Henefer. This route was traveled by buffalo, Native Americans, and the Mormon pioneer’s journey in 1847. The fun part of this drive is that it features interesting rock formations that are viewable from the highway. The drive time for this route is only 30 to 45 minutes.
